An electric car charging station is a station for electric cars to charge up their batteries with electricity. Similar to a petrol station an electric car can plug into the electric supply equipment at the charging station. Instead of filling the tank with gasoline the battery of the electric car is filled up with electricity. The charging will take longer than filling in gasoline. There  are different types of charging stations. There are AC and DC chargers. The DC has the charger inside the charger itself. Compared to the AC charger the DC charger are bigger and faster in charging up an electric car.
